It's time again for a new Anything Goes challenge at our 7kids Challenge blog.

I chose to use the new SugarPea stamp set called Have An Ice Day. 

I love how it has a Birthday sentiment with it. I have a hard time making winter Birthday cards that don't look like left over Christmas cards, so this set is great. It is very versatile because  It can also be used for Christmas.

We have a new challenge going on at Eureka Stamps.  This week's theme is:

" Use Glitter"

  I used digi  30201 Snowman Block

I used a lot of glitter!!!! The background paper has glitter on it and I used glitter on the snowman's scarf and the snow below him.  The side strip is silver glitter and the two trees are glittered fun foam.

Happy New Year !!!!!  It's time again for a new challenge at the 7kids Challenge blog The theme is anything goes, but our DT added a twist to our cards, we went with white on white. It seems fitting for the new year and a clean start.  Hopefully you will get the time to join us. We love to see what you come up with.

Christmas Card Challenges #14

This week's challenge is ANYTHING GOES. Please keep in mind that all challenges are optional. The only real rule is that you must create a new Christmas Holiday, Winter or Hanukkah card. Also, it is not necessary to use a SCRS stamp on your card, but we sure love it when you do!

And since it's the first Sunday of the month, it's prize time.  One lucky winner will receive some free rubber from Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps.  What a great prize.

My first post for Sunshine Mail Foundation

 I'm excited to be one of the new Team Leaders for Sunshine Mail foundation. Here is my post:

Hello everyone and welcome back to another wonderful year of fun challenges, new faces and of course bringing sunshine to children by sending in your cards.  Our January 15th theme is “Snow much fun”. We are sponsored again by Bugaboo.  This challenge will run thru Jan. 31st. We hope you will join us by linking up your fun creations for a chance to win images from Bugaboo.  In order to be eligible you must send your card to The Sunshine Mail Foundation. 
Our new Design Team members have been having ” Snow much fun” making their cards. Ann’s “Snow body”  like you card is certainly FUN.  Margaret’s   Sock monkey is very special and  Adina’s  cute penguin is having a snow day.  Come back often to see what the rest of the DT members have been up too, meanwhile have fun spreading sunshine

Unscripted Sketches #189+ piggy back

It's that time again for the piggy back challenge. This time it is to do something to or with the circle. Alter it somehow- distress it, tear it, layer it, etc. Make the circle a unique focal point!

 

I made my circle into a cute snowman. I got this fun idea from a friend who sent me a snowman tag just like this one. It was the first thing I thought of when I saw the sketch for this week.

Cool images and a New Name for Card Cupids

The nonprofit, Card Cupids announces on its two year anniversary, its new name: Sunshine Mail Foundation. The Virginia based non-profit which began in November 2010 is changing its name to better reflect its mission of brightening the day of children in need.
“We began by providing cards and stuffed animals to a few children in hospitals but over time we have expanded to providing care essentials and age appropriate items to children in homeless shelters, foster care, hospitals and children facing medical challenges. We believe the name, Sunshine Mail Foundation, better reflects all of the services that we provide to children” says Stephanie Busby, Executive Director.
In 2013, Sunshine Mail Foundation has set a goal to reach more children in homeless shelters with their Sunshine Mail care packages that provide comfort, support and joy through care essentials and other age appropriate items.
Sunshine Mail Foundation supports numerous children’s hospitals and family shelters nationwide along with countless children in foster care and children facing medical challenges. For more information and to get involved, please visit www.sunshinemail.org.
