Creativity

Happy Thursday! I'm Hosting the 7kids challenge blog today
and wanted to to share this card with you
With the Tim Holtz Water Color Kit I had everything I needed to make this card.

The kit features an assortment of Distress Watercolor crayons and several tools this kit has everything you need to learn the techniques needed to create watercolor art Includes distress crayons (festive berries, fossilized amber, chipped sapphire, rusty hinge, peeled paint, seedless preserves), paintbrush, mini archival ink pad (black soot), clear stamp set, acrylic block, watercolor cardstock, instruction booklet.

It was super fun to do!!! I water colored the paper with the distress crayons and then tore pieces from each color and glued  it down on the card front and then stamped the Butterfly on top. I stamped the sentiment and then using a paint brush I flicked different colors all over the paper.
I added Limoncello Nuvo crystal drops to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting :)

Michele

Better With Age

today to share my DT card
Yesterday we started our Anything Goes Challenge for May.
And This is the card I made for the challenge

It comes with a pack of 6 Distressed Crayons
a clear stamp set with some beautiful flowers
a mini black soot ink pad
  Acrylic Block
a paint brush
5 sheets of water color paper.
 Plus a technique Booklet

I stamped the background with one of the flower stamps and embossed the flowers with
Glacier White embossing powder.

Then I used the distressed crayons with plenty of water and colored in and around the flowers just dabbing colors randomly and flicking the watercolor  until I got the desired effect.

I also embossed the saying from the Penny Black Clear Stamp Set -Birthday Love
with the same  Glacier White embossing powder.  Then I used some chipped sapphire with water to color over the saying to make it stand out a little more.

Hope you enjoy my creation!  Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to join our May challenge.
Happy crafting
Hugs
Michele

You're Going Places

I'm sharing this card on the 7kids blog today

With Graduation coming up I decided to make a card that wasn't the typical graduation card.
This is what I came up with using one of the Arrow stamps from:

For the watercolor effect in the background I used Tim Holtz distress crayons.
If you haven't tried out the distress crayons yet I suggest you give them a try.
They are fun to work with.
