Unscripted Sketches #223

The sketch today at Unscripted Sketches  is such a fun CAS (clean and simple) sketch

SK 191 US 223.jpg

Here's my card.  I made it to send to my Daughter who is at college.
I had the perfect stamps to use for this sketch.

I love how simple it is but it packs a big punch.
I paper pieced the Hug letters, to give it a little more impact.

Come and see the other cards made by our fab Design Team.  You will get lots of inspiration.

Happy card making :)

Christmas Card Challenges #37

This week at Christmas Card Challenges we are using texture on our cards
Check out all the great textures that were used by the design team.

Week #37

For my card I used different patterned paper to create texture and used a snowflake embossing folder on canvas and rubbed brown ink on the raised parts. I like how it turned out.  I also paper pieced the little Gnome with different patterns of  paper.

I'm entering my card here:

Distressed Birthday Card And A Winner

Before I get to my card, I wanted to thank everyone who participated in the Card Cupids Blog Hop. The winner of the 2 digi stamps is : Jessie.
Congrats :)  please email info@cardcupids.org to receive the free digital stamps.

Now for my card. The challenge at Simon Says Stamp and Show is;  Depth of Distress To make a distressed look on this card, I took several different colors of stamp pads and lightly went over the background paper. I love how it picks up the texture in the paper.
