Good news... plus some bling

Here's what I made for the latest Christmas Card Challenge. The challenge was to add bling and I think I accomplished it with all the glitter that is on this card!! Very fun to make. Not very fun to clean up. LOL

This is the last time I will be entering a card in their challenges. Do you want to know why?

Unscripted Sketches #159

Another Saturday and you know what that means... another great sketch at Unscripted Sketches. This week there is a piggy back challenge to use ink. You could do pen stitching details, or a stamped image or distressing, whatever your little heart desires. Make sure to stop by and see all the great creations from the design team.  http://unscriptedsketches.com/

I stamped the sentiment and also stamped some stitching lines

I also stamped the green background paper to add texture

Another Christmas card

I made this card with several challenges in mind. over at CCC the challenge is to use an old neglected stamp.    So I used the fence stamp that I have had for over 10 years and hardly ever used. I'm glad I found a new way to use it.  Then at DYSU the challenge is to create a landscape. Hope this qualifies as a landscape. That was a challenge :)

Last minute Mother's Day gifts

Paper crafting and up cycling are my all time faves. So for some quick gifts that would be perfect for mother's day you don't need to look to far to make these great crafts. First up is a very stylish purse. This would be a great idea to put a small gift in and there is a pocket to put a gift card in too. I found the free pattern over at http://sueneal.blogspot.com/2012/05/studio-5-mothers-day-gift-bag-purse.html . Her purses are too cute. Go check them out. It was very fun and simple to make. I have a feeling I will be making allot more of these in the future.

My second project is a necklace made from the end of a Pillsbury crescent roll  package.

I used a Tim Holtz memo pin for the top where the chain would go through I punched a hole and glued it down before I started adding  the fun stuff. You could also just punch a hole through it like a tag and add ribbon or a chain to it that way.  I used glossy accents to glue down my pieces and then filled the whole thing with glossy accents to seal it. The hardest thing was waiting for it to dry. LOL  What do you think? Fun and easy. So if you are looking for last minute gifts try these out. You'll be glad you did. :)
