Christmas Card Challenges #5

We are on week #5, At Christmas Card Challenges, and this time the challenge is to use paint.

Week #5

I used watercolors for my little winter scene. If you look closely you will see a little bunny rabbit peeking out behind the tree. :)

What will you make?  Join us at Christmas Card Challenges.

Unscripted Sketches #189+ piggy back

It's that time again for the piggy back challenge. This time it is to do something to or with the circle. Alter it somehow- distress it, tear it, layer it, etc. Make the circle a unique focal point!

I made my circle into a cute snowman. I got this fun idea from a friend who sent me a snowman tag just like this one. It was the first thing I thought of when I saw the sketch for this week.
Come see all the fun cards the DT made. They have some great ideas on what to do with the circle.

Playing Catch Up

I was out of town over the weekend and am trying to get back on track.  So here is what I missed:

We have a recipe for you to try: Our Challenge this week is to use
4 layers
3 ribbons
2 Designer papers
Butterfly.

I was really stumped on the Butterfly part until I remembered I had some green felt butterflies that would look great if I put them in a circle to form a wreath. Here is the end result:

At Unscripted Sketches we are on Sketch #183. This was a fun sketch to work with. Here is my card

A great new discovery

I came across a wonderful blog called Card Cupids. They provide Happy Mail to kids who are facing difficult challenges in their lives. You can donate your hand made cards to them and they send them to the children who need some smiles.  I'm glad I found this place. I love making cards and this will be a great way to share my love of creating. It also gives me a chance to make the fun kid type cards that I don't get to do much. I will definitely be doing this. You should check them out and maybe donate some cards too, cuz  who doesn't love HAPPY MAIL?
They also have challenges and the challenge this time is Animals. Here's what I came up with

Speaking of fun kid cards, here is one I made for My Nephew's Birthday. I got the pattern from a friend on the Inspire Swap Chat website. She found it on a blog and I wish I could remember which one it was, but if you go on Pinterest and  search for angry bird patterns, I'm sure you will find it. It's all made with punches.
