Paper crafting and up cycling are my all time faves. So for some quick gifts that would be perfect for mother's day you don't need to look to far to make these great crafts. First up is a very stylish purse. This would be a great idea to put a small gift in and there is a pocket to put a gift card in too. I found the free pattern over at http://sueneal.blogspot.com/2012/05/studio-5-mothers-day-gift-bag-purse.html . Her purses are too cute. Go check them out. It was very fun and simple to make. I have a feeling I will be making allot more of these in the future.
My second project is a necklace made from the end of a Pillsbury crescent roll package.
I used a Tim Holtz memo pin for the top where the chain would go through I punched a hole and glued it down before I started adding the fun stuff. You could also just punch a hole through it like a tag and add ribbon or a chain to it that way. I used glossy accents to glue down my pieces and then filled the whole thing with glossy accents to seal it. The hardest thing was waiting for it to dry. LOL What do you think? Fun and easy. So if you are looking for last minute gifts try these out. You'll be glad you did. :)
I'm entering the purse in:http://justkeeponcreating.blogspot.com.au/2012/05/challenge-2-at-just-keep-on-creating.html
