Unscripted Sketches #172

It’s time for our monthly PIGGYBACK CHALLENGE at Unscripted Sketches. If you haven’t played along with us before on a piggyback week, it is simply an additional, optional challenge to exercise your creativity! Whether or not you choose to add the piggyback challenge element to your project will in no way effect consideration for Top 3 or other prizes.

Get crafty with canvas

The challenge over at  Frilly and Funkie  is to use canvas on your project.  I love the look that canvas gives. I had just made a Christmas card with it so I thought I'd make another card for this challenge. 

Once again I embossed the canvas and rubbed ink on the raised parts. This is one of my favorite techniques. I will for sure be using it again and again.

Christmas Card Challenges #37

This week at Christmas Card Challenges we are using texture on our cards

Check out all the great textures that were used by the design team.

 

For my card I used different patterned paper to create texture and used a snowflake embossing folder on canvas and rubbed brown ink on the raised parts. I like how it turned out.  I also paper pieced the little Gnome with different patterns of  paper.

This week our challenge at Christmas Card Challenges is to use something new.  I got this card kit from a Stampin Up club I'm in so everything is new.  I made a different card with the stuff I got.
