Hello everyone and welcome to my blog. I'm excited to be participating in this wonderful blog hop for World Card Making Day and Operation Write Home.
About OWH (Operation Write Home)
This merry band of thousands of card makers is made up of Americans – and
citizens of other nations too – who care about our military, and want
to support them through creativity and encouragement. Many thousands of
crafters of all ages and levels of experience have participated since
2007!
Care packages filled with hundreds of handmade cards are sent to our
contacts, restocking every 6-8 weeks, and are sent in time for the long
journey back home to loved ones. Each box is packed with great care,
alternating styles, colors, and cardmakers from all over the USA,
creating “eye candy” for heroes who see only khaki around them. The
topper on each box is a plastic bag filled with 20-30 letters from
adults and children across the country, letters handed out especially to
those in need of a positive word from the homefront.
Boxes are shipped through every week of the year, so join us anytime in sending your beautiful creations to help our heroes keep in touch with home!

For this hop we were asked to make a Thank you card using one of the many Sketches that are available on the blog. I chose to use Sketch #190
Here's how my card turned out.
I stamped the bird onto the background paper and paper pieced it to make the bird stand out a little better.
I hope you are having fun and getting inspired from all the great cards that were made for this hop. There are so many awesome card makers out there and I'm proud to be a part of this wonderful group. Thanks for taking the time to stop by. Enjoy the rest of your day.
Happy Card Making :)

ReplyDeleteLove the coloring scheme, and I do like that little bird. The paper piercing didn't really show up, had to look real close.......but this card works well. radloffjen at cableone dot net
